“However”

With God, there is no “however you plan to do it is fine.”

God doesn’t tell us to serve Him in a way that is acceptable to us. He doesn’t want us asking for advice from His adversaries on how He should do things. There might be a way that seems right to others, but if it’s not God’s way, it will bring death instead of life.

God tells us that He does His work and accomplishes His will, “Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of hosts.” God doesn’t tell us to do His work according to what our flesh, our efforts, our talents, or our resources can do.

How do we do God’s work? We do it under His guidance, in His strength, by His Spirit, with His wisdom, from His resources, through His grace, by His love, and for His glory.
